Get ready for spring!

Productive groundwork is the foundation for our horses to learn the skills necessary for whatever activity we have planned for them! While this workshop is geared towards the driving horse, any horse owner and equine of any age can benefit from going back to basics.

This progressive group workshop focuses on groundwork on halter and lead to establish respect, trust, leadership and confidence. We will work on moving all parts of our horse’s body, direct & drive and send exercises, and we will round out the day with some simple obstacles. Understanding how our lead rope eventually becomes our rein when we ride, and our line when we drive.

It teaches horses to follow a feel, get soft and learn to think versus react. It helps the human to develop his or her leadership skills, be aware how your energy, position and angle affects the horse.

The techniques in this workshop is where I start my driving training.
